Oh, that is the million dollar question! I think you've got no guarantees since the GPS will almost certainly be garbled. It's the wildcard of the airport segment! But, if possible, trying to stay close to windows might improve signal accuracy.
Tried to do the Logan airport segment today during a long layover. GPS is fine at gate 26 but somewhere around gate 13 it gets squirrely. When I was standing at B1–the ostensible starting point of the segment—my GPS had me way out in the parking lot. Not sure if there’s a GPS scrambler at that end of the terminal these days, or what. 🤷🏽♀️ Alas, no easy segment title for me today 😭
Excellent! My husband will love this. Surprised there isn’t one that goes underneath the terminals near the trams in Atlanta where the tree-themed art installation tunnel is.
Reminded me of the O.J. Simpson Hertz commercial from many years ago. He runs with luggage through some airport trying to catch a flight….I love that Strava users put their otherwise wasted airport time to good use!
Please add Frankfurt Main Its the negative benchmark for Europe plus it has a shortcut under the gates, somewhere
Noted! I think there is a European edition to be created, Anders. Can you share the Frankfurt Main segment?
Any tips on how to record a walk/run inside an airport? I’ve tried before with my Garmin watch and it just showed up as a walk with no map.

Amazing! And alas about the GPS issue. 😩Was your GPX file upload able to detect the segment?

Would love to see more tunnel segments!
Loved this Strava airport piece.

And OJ did it in a three-piece suit!

Never saw that one before 😁
awesome, thanks for putting these segments together!
our local airport is so small that it doesn't have any segments, it does have its own race, though: https://www.airportrace.de/
Your local airport does not have any segments … yet! Maybe it’s just waiting for you, Nico! 😄
it's Germany's oldest airport. It's tiny, no need to run to get anywhere in time :)
I lurrrrrve this
Raz, I’m expecting a readout on your dominance of the LAX segments by end of month. 😉
Using all my airmiles to 1) become THE Local Legend of LAX and 2) be arrested for being too smelly on the flight? I can do it!
Showering in the sink of the Admiral’s Club, remarking to the horrified SVP one sink over, “Yeah, heavy training load right now.”
I did some sprints in MDW a few months back. Glad to know I'm not alone in this! https://www.strava.com/segments/37226700
Nice! That's a long segment!
