Records fall at Auburn

Courtney Dauwalter smashed the course record at Western States this weekend. The former winner took an incredible 78 minutes off the former course best. Tom Evans took the men’s crown with the fourth fastest time ever. Breakdown from iRunFar.

Runners faced snow pack over the first 15 miles and an unshaded 16-mile stretch due to damage from the 2022 Mosquito Fire. But cool temps helped them on the 100-mile traverse from Olympic Valley to Auburn, California. (iRunFar, Guardian)
