Hey there! I’ve wanted to create some bonus nuggets for paid subscribers. You likely know I’m balancing work, life, and raising a 3-month-old with my wife. So, alas, these will never be consistently sent, but as Emerson once quipped, a foolish consistency is “the hobgoblin of little minds.” Or, in my case, the hobgoblin of a scattered, sleep-deprived mind.

What will this be about? I read, listen, and watch a lot, much of it unrelated to the endurance niche of the main newsletter. My interests range widely; so let’s call these posts “rambles,” deviations from our usual programming to observe interesting tidbits around the world. Let’s go!

Like a lot of Americans, I know very little about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Unlike a lot of Americans, I don’t have strong opinions about it. But the horrors of the past month have shocked this complacency. Here are listens and reads I found helpful.
