Good morning!
I hope you are well and safe.
A few days ago, as I was doing laundry, it occurred to me that the large container of detergent I was using will last into the next year. By the time I finish the box, there will likely be a vaccine for the virus. By then our social and political circumstances may be quite different from the grimness of today.
And so a mundane box of soap became a bridge into the future. It's a reminder that there will be an aftertime. Even as we're bombarded with grim news about the pandemic and economy, know that this too shall pass.
We will survive and will have the opportunity to rebuild our society for the better. So keep hope, keep fighting, and take care out there. And let me know if you need any laundry detergent. Obviously, I bought far too much.
