Welcome back to Breakfast Club, your (bi)weekly dose of outdoor content.
Well, it has been an interesting week. Of course, you don't need a recap about the growing coronavirus pandemic and its implications. You know what's happening.
Given the multitude of expert advice and exhortations on the need for social distancing, Breakfast Club's weekly run from Lake Temescal will be postponed for the next few weeks.
While I'm bummed to make the call, we need to recognize that this is not a normal moment, and it requires some sacrifices. We need to prioritize the labor and essential work that keeps our economy running. That means slowing community spread through social distancing (great visualization about this in the Washington Post) and avoiding overload of our healthcare system (read this warning from Italy in the Atlantic).
