Heard on the Run:
The Hoka One One Aggies, the strongest club team in northern California, won the women's club cross country championships in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Aggies men's team finished third as the Tinman Elite took the title. (Runner's World)
Peter Snell, three-time Olympic gold medallist in the 800 and 1500, has died. Snell is the only man to have won both the 800 and the 1500 in a single Olympics since 1920. Working with uber-coach Arthur Lydiard, the New Zealander's training was foundational for the high-mileage programs that dominate distance running today. (Guardian)
