Good morning!
Welcome back to another edition of Breakfast Club! I'm finally returning to a bit of running after a month of recovery from a metatarsal stress fracture. Bone heals slow, but this is not my first (or second, or third, or fourth) rodeo with bad injuries.
What I've learned through twenty-five years of sports injury is that getting "running hurt" rarely entails real debilitation. It just means a break from one aspect of your life, albeit an important one. As of late, when I get dinged up, I try to use the break to develop other facets of life, whether that's work, books, or family...and I absolutely refuse to spend another minute of my life pool-running. ;)
Still, I'm looking forward to getting back on my feet. In the meantime, here's the week's running(ish) news, outdoor content, and Tweets of the Week.
