Good afternoon!

Welcome back to Breakfast Club, a weekly digest of upcoming running and outdoor news with a Bay Area flavor.

In a cultural moment when ultramarathons have become mainstream, the idea of running 500 miles still raises eyebrows.  Yet this is exactly what Eileen Francisco intends to do this July.  In an effort to raise seed money for her new race series, Animal Run. Francisco has charted a route that will loop around the entire San Francisco Bay, averaging 50 kilometers per leg for a total of 500 miles.

This week's newsletter features a short interview with Eileen about her 500-mile run, her vision for Animal Run, and her plant-based runner lifestyle.  And, as always, we've also got more curated outdoor news, upcoming events, and Tweets of the Week.

Onwards!
