Good afternoon!

We've reached high spring here in the Bay Area, with the fog burning off earlier in the day and warmer temperatures creeping into the afternoon.  It's a lovely time of year, and while the endemic threat of drought lingers on the horizon, it's nice to relish in the sunny Mediterranean climate before the June gloom of summer fog sets in.

On a crisp Saturday morning run, a group of us discovered that a series of statues have been placed around the city of Oakland.  From the waterside of the Oakland Port, to the hipster alleys of Broadway and Telegraph, to the hillsides of Montclair, the Oakland Athletic's mascot, "Stomper," is everywhere. 

Each Stomper has been painted to reflect the local neighborhood and East Bay values.  On our long run, we spotted 8 Stompers, but apparently there are a total of 50 elephant statues around town.  For the life of me, I can't find a map for the statues, so it looks like it will be a PokemonGo a…
