The track season began in earnest this weekend, most notably in Palo Alto where the Stanford Invite's tradition of blazing fast results continued—including Gwen Jorgensen's ongoing upward trajectory, as she won the women's 10K invitational.
On this side of the Bay, amateur runners competed in the SF Distance Carnival, held this year at Chabot Community College. The Distance Carnival has become a stellar early-season meet in its own right, and the place where fast local guys kick the tires of their track-legs.
