Good evening!

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Oakland Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, and Relay.  It was a beautiful morning for running. Those in the marathon were treated to spectacular views of the Bay as they ran through the Oakland Port.  Shoutout to all who placed on the podium, set personal bests, and negotiated the numerous turns to finish at Lake Merritt. 

I had the great fortune of running every step of the marathon with three other members of the That's Fine Track Club.  While our time was not particularly fast, we worked collectively toward a goal and crossed the finish line together.  It is not every day that four people tie for first place.  So the race was an experience I won't soon forget.
