Labor Day Readings
Hey there, hope you had a nice holiday weekend.
I’ve got a few ideas on the burner, but I took the weekend to spend time with family and knock out a couple long runs for an upcoming race.
In lieu of longer-form writing, here are a few recent things I've read, listened to, and watched.
What I'm reading:
The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff. This Big Book unpacks how tech companies metastasized into a data-sucking complex of behavior-shaping social experiments and market-driven incursions into personal privacy. Alternating between disturbing and enlightening, Zuboff’s research led me to deactivate my Meta accounts and to start weening off the Chrome browser. Read the New Yorker review.
