Escaping the summer heat in San Francisco’s Presidio.

Hey there, hope you had a nice holiday weekend. 

I’ve got a few ideas on the burner, but I took the weekend to spend time with family and knock out a couple long runs for an upcoming race.

In lieu of longer-form writing, here are a few recent things I've read, listened to, and watched.

What I'm reading:

• The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff. This Big Book unpacks how tech companies metastasized into a data-sucking complex of behavior-shaping social experiments and market-driven incursions into personal privacy. Alternating between disturbing and enlightening, Zuboff’s research led me to deactivate my Meta accounts and to start weening off the Chrome browser.
