Scott Bauh’s Chilly Championship
In my recent ode to the running store Transports, I discussed the adidas Transports Racing Team and mentioned Scott Bauh’s win at the 2008 USATF Club Cross Country Championship. What I did not have space to include was what Scott told me via email about the race, held in blisteringly cold conditions in Spokane, Washington.
Scott isn’t the kind of person who complains about the weather. He’s a 61:30 half-marathoner, who amassed three national collegiate titles at Chico State and represented the US at the World Championships in track and field and cross country.
But I’ll let him explain the race in his own words:
